Mexico, Acapulco Collection, of fifteen stamps of the 1856 Issues, ½r-2r, the two that are mint are ½r, two have manuscript mute cancels and the other used are Acapulco (Schatzkes 1, 2 or 4), a 2r used out-of-district from Colima is rare, F.-V.F.

Lot 491 /o   

Mexico, Apam Collection, of 33 stamps including mint ½r and 1r, postally used ½r single tied to piece by Otumba (Schatzkes 33) and pair cancelled with blue negative seal (Schatzkes 24), a 1r (with blue name) is tied to a cover by "FRANCO" (probably the upper portion of Schatzkes 37) - has professional repair, the mass of the lot is a mixture of 28 stamps with and without names bearing eight different remainder cancels, these include three 8r violet, mostly Very Fine (Scott No. 1-2, 5, 1b, 2c, 5b).

Mexico, Campeche Collection, of two mint (½r and 4r) and twelve used, excellent variety of cancellations including numerals "4," "5," "6," and "8," couple used from Merida, a ½r bears very partial but exceedingly rare Hecelchacan (Schatzkes 17A), Mostly Very Fine, a very desirable group.

Mexico, Chalco Collection, of 27 used including ½r seven singles and three pairs and three 2r, the nine different cancels are mostly sub-offices such as Amecameca, Ayotla, Jonacatepec, Texcoco, Yautepec. An unoverprinted 2r yellow green bears the circular mute of Chalco (Schatzkes 83), mostly Very Fine, Many Scarce Items! .

Mexico, Chiapas Collection, of two mint (½r and 4r), and 24 used, the sixteen ½r include a strip of four with blue Tuxtla cancels (Schatzkes 132), plus two 4r (Follansbee $450 each) have close margins but one is cancelled Pichucalco and the other (Comitan) has a 1978 M.E.P.S.I. certificate, also six 1r and a 2r six different cancels include San Bartolome (Schatzkes 118AA), Generally F.-V.F.
