Confederacy, Albany, Ga., Feb 14, 1861, clear blue Valentine's Day cds canceling on U.S. 1860, 3¢ Star Die entire (U27) to Macon, Ga., with multicolored floral bordered printed Valentine sheet with 21-line poem; small cover edge opening tear at top, still Very Fine, an unusual Valentine and C.S.A. usage combination.

Confederacy, Magnolia, N.C., Feb. 13, cds with matching "Paid" handstamp and manuscript "10" rate on cover to Raleigh, N.C., forwarded to Huntsville with blue "Raleigh, N.C., Feb 15" cds with matching "Forwarding" straight line and "Due 10" handstamps, with multicolored Vinegar Valentine entitled "The Happy Husband" with 8-line satirical poem below; small edge repair at top right, otherwise Very Fine.
