Mexico, 1864, Eagle (1st Period), 2r orange, Mexico, horizontal strip of four, clear to large margins, tied by pen stroke cancels on 1865 folded letter sheet to Guadalajara paying 8r for 1¾ oz. beyond 16 leagues, Very Fine, this being is the largest recorded multiple on or off cover (N.F. $1,200 for a used off-cover strip); with 1997 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.

Mexico, 1865, Eagle (4th Period), 4r green, vertical bisect, Durango, right portion of stamp with partial district overprint and sub-number "1865" at top, tied on piece by Mapimi straight line cancel (Schatzkes 270) and manuscript date, Very Fine, there are about 20 known 4r Durango splits and this is the only known from Mapimi; with 1989 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.
