Hawaii, Oahu College, Honolulu, H.I., corner card on cover to Boston, Mass. bearing 1899, 1¢ dark green and 2¢ rose pair (80, 81), tied by "Honolulu, H.I. Sep 18 1899" duplexes, purple "T/25 Centimes" handstamp, black "U.S. Charge to Collect 10 Cents" handstamp and U.S. 10¢ postage due added, tied by Boston cds; slight opening flaws at right, a Very Fine and interesting use. Oahu College was started as a school in 1841, and the name was changed to Punahou School in 1934. Frank Alvan Hosmer (1853-1911) was President of Oahu College from 1890 to 1900.
