Hawaii, (Oahu) Waialua, Oahu, Mar 14, 1899, bold purple cds (281.01) and partial strikes canceling 1894, 1¢ yellow + 5¢ rose lake + 1899, 2¢ rose, three singles (74+76+81) on registered cover to Honolulu, red "Honolulu, Hawaii, Mar 15, 1899" registry cds, Very Fine, an unusual registry usage bearing no registry marking other than this Honolulu cds that was used for registered mail.

Hawaii, (Oahu) Waianae, Oahu, Oct. 31, 1887, full sharp strike of cds (282.016) tying 1864, 2¢ rose vermilion, vertical pair and single + 1882, 5¢ ultramarine (31, 39) on cover to Hanover, Germany, "Honolulu, H.I., Oct 31, 1887" cds and reverse with San Francisco and N.Y. transit postmarks; some cover corner wear and small portion of bottom flap missing, still Very Fine, an unusual combination overpaying the 5¢ double UPU rate.
