American Postal Machine Co., "New York, N-Y, Jan 3, 1900", Type B38 "Madison Square Station" flag machine cancel ties 1¢ green (279) pair on cover to Old Mystic Conn.; opened tear and stain spot, light overall toning, Fine and rare, a rare type used only Jan. 1-3, 1900. (Langford $500).

American Postal Machine Co. - "Sea Post No. 2, Mar 5, 1931", Type A14 flag machine cancel ties 2¢ carmine on philatelic cover to Indianapolis Ind., signed "Theodore Roosevelt" at top left, Very Fine and rare.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

ONE OF ONLY TWO RECORDED STRIKES OF THIS RARE SEA POST FLAG CANCEL.

This postmark was used on the S.S. Borinquen from Feb. 28th to March, 1931. The name "Borinquen" is the original name in the language of the Carib Indians, for the island of Puerto Rico. The original d copy of this "Sea Post No. 2" machine flag sold for $2,500 many years ago.

American Postal Machine Co., "Seattle Wash Exposition Station Jun. 23 1-PM, 1909", bold strike with "Alaska-Yukon Exposition" flag machine cancel ties 1¢ blue green (300) on multicolored Mines building expo postcard to Sedro-Woolley Wash.; light toning, Very Fine and rare, ex-Heimburger.
Estimate    $3,000 - 4,000.

ONE OF THREE RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE ALASKA-YUKON EXPOSITION FLAG MACHINE CANCEL, ONE OF THE KEY EXPOSITION POSTMARKS.

One of the other two recorded examples of this rare postal marking realized $9,000 hammer in the first Brody sale held by Shreves.

American Postal Machine C., U.S. Postal Agency Shanghai, Mar 31, 1906., Flag cancel (type Q14(1)) ties 1¢ blue green (300), corner tear at upper right, on Chinese Imperial Post postal card to San Francisco, some letters light or not visible and partially overstruck by Seattle machine cancel, F.-V.F., known use of about one week in late March and early April of 1906. One of the most sought after of all flag cancels.
