1863, 2¢ black, group of five covers and two off cover singles showing perforation oddities; includes double perfs with two single usages showing double perfs at top and at left, one on publishing ad cover promoting Civil War titles, also vertical strip of three on partial cover showing horizontal rows of double perfs, and off cover single showing double perfs at sides, and dramatic mis-perfs including bottom margin single on cover with horizontal mis-registration, pair on cover from San Francisco with similar mis-perf and a scissor cut off cover single with vertical mis-perf, generally F.-V.F. or better.

1863, 2¢ black, tied by "Canandaigua, N.Y., May 24" cds and target duplex forwarding on large part of newspaper from England to Indiana, initially franked with G.B. 1p red tied by London grid, partial "Too Late, Eveng. Dispatch" boxed backstamp, some light staining, F.-V.F., an unusual forwarded dual country franking combination.

Pkt., 7 Paid, Jan 11" exchange cds, magenta manuscript "Cuba" steamer endorsement and blue boxed Aachen transit date stamp, Furth arrival backstamp, Very Fine.

1863, 2¢ black, two singles, in combination with 1861, 10¢ yellow green + 1863, 5¢ brown (68+76 on 1866 cover to Olten, Switzerland, all corked canceled with matching "Herman, Mo., Jun 20" origin cds, red straight line "Paid" and manuscript "19" rate at top, red "5" in circle credit handstamp and light New York exchange cds, Hamburg transit and receiving backstamps; few stamp flaws and cover missing bottom flap, adhesives with couple minor flaws, bottom flap missing, F.-V.F., a very scarce combination making up the 19¢ Bremen-Hamburg rate to Switzerland; with 2004 P.F. certificate.
