Mexico, Official, 1895, Mulitas, 10c lilac rose, horizontal pair, on 1896 registered cover to Berne, Switzerland, sent from the private correspondence of the Mexico City Post Master, stamps are not canceled but were indispensable for any mail going abroad, let alone registered, Very Fine.

Lot 216 S   

Mexico, Official, 1898, Mulitas, 10p deep blue, "Muesta" overprint, o.g., hinge remnant, exceptional centering, deep rich color, Extremely Fine and choice, this is the rarest of the Mulitas, with 4-5 exist without and 3-4 exist with the "Muestra" overprint.

Mexico, 1879, 10p Documentos Y Libros, twenty singles, on partial Oct 23, 1878 dated document, in combination with 1879, 5c + 10c, 25c + 1p x2 & 5p x28 Documentos Y Libros issues, with Veracruz overprints and tied by oval Veracruz handstamps dated "30 Jun 79"; some document splitting, otherwise Very Fine, a wonderful high value revenue usage.

Lot 218    

Mexico, 1892, 10c vermilion, advertising sheet and envelope, entire uprated with 1890 25c vermilion Numeral and reverse with 2¢ carmine + 4¢ vermilion pair (221+213+215), registered usage Campeche to Mexico, small edge flaws, F.-V.F., one of two known registered examples of this advertising sheet.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

These were printed as a special order containing a printed flyer with many advertisements and an embossed image of the 10c. The envelope has a cut die cut oval window revealing the indicia. The user would only pay 5c and the remaining 5c would be subsidized by the advertisers.

Mexico, 1892, 10c vermilion, advertising sheet and envelope, certified entire to Schönlinde, Austria, uprated with 1890, Numeral, 5c dull blue + 10c vermilion (216+218) all tied by "Zacatecas, Zac., Abr 21, 93" cds's with matching certified boxed handstamp and "A.R." in circle handstamps, receiving backstamp; 10c with nick at lower right, Very Fine and choice, maybe 10 or so used known, but there are only two known registered, and this is the finer of the two.
Estimate    $600 - 800.
