Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thick figures, imperf), 12c black on green, Tulancingo, on combination with 1868, Hidalgo (thick figures, imperf), 25c blue (60) both cons 15-70, on cover to Mexico tied by circular Tulancingo handstamp (Schatzkes 1718), receiving backstamp, Very Fine, a very unusual rate.

Mexico, 1868, Hidalgo (thick figures, perforated), 50c blue on light pink, color error (Puebla), cons 14-68, without name of district, o.g., full margins, Very Fine, very rare, especially so in mint condition; signed J.K. Bash, with 2005 M.E.P.S.I. certificate.

This error was caused early in the issue when a thick figure 50c cliche was misplaced on the 25c plate (Stone C) at two positions, one of which was corrected by redrawing the denomination and the other creating this error. The error was quickly caught with a few examples getting out in the first shipments of the issue. It is known from Puebla, Oaxaca, Orizava, Queretaro and Veracruz districts.
