Hawaii, Incoming Mail Collection, 1843-99, of 36 items (mostly cards) housed on pages in binder; most usages from the 1890's with post/postal cards usage from France x3 one with Lahaina receiving cds on face, Germany x6 including one from Bavaria (German State), Denmark x2, Switzerland x2, Austria, Belgium, Egypt, Mexico, Tasmania, Japan x3, Macao, G.B. x3 (one with illustrated ad), Argentina and Italy, cover usages including scarce 1893 cover from Puerto Rico, N.S.W. circular usage with printed corner card, New Zealand, Fiji, G.B. x4 including 1843 1sh solo franking usages, etc., also a lovely Tonga registered entire that is only a front; condition mixed, nice group for the postal specialist.

Hawaii, Stampless & Incoming Covers, 1853-62, group of eight covers; includes four outgoing stampless to the east coast, one 1853 with "Honolulu, U.S. Postage Paid" cds (236.05) and "Paid" & "8" in circle rate handstamp, incoming mostly stampless from New Hampshire (Gulick correspondence) and one to Lahaina franked with Scott #32; condition is mixed, inspect.

Hawaii, U.S. Incoming Mail Cover Group, 1855-1900, of 32 covers and cards; with four margin 1851, 10¢ green, type II (14) on ca. 1855 cover from New Bedford, Mass. to Lahaina endorsed "On Board Ship Montezuma", various Banknote era usages, some post cards including multicolored Pacific Mail S.S. Co. cards, couple 1900 packetboat legal size entire usages, etc.; mixed condition, please inspect.

Hawaii, Incoming U.S. Advertising Postal Card Collection, 1878-99, of 24 cards; includes an early 1878 Manhattan Life Insurance Co. ad, most from the 1890's with five illustrated ads including Bull Durham showing bull, 1894 Wells, Fargo & Co. shipment notice on the steamship Alameda, bold "Planter's Line For Honolulu" ship ad for passage on the S.C. Allen, also a Columbian Expo card with message "Aloha nui"; condition a little mixed.

Hawaii, Town Postmark Collection, 1864-1900, exhibit balance of approximately 170 off cover strikes and over 20 covers written-up and displayed on pages; starting with Island of Kauai with Hanalei first postmark x3 (238.02, 1R) showing early and late worn usages, four later type postmarks, Lihue including first type date stamp (238.02, 1R) and four later types, Koloa with 3rd type date stamp (251.02) including new EKU and only known strike in red, Hanapepe with first date stamp (281.013) EKU, etc., Island of Oahu with highlights including Ewa first type date stamp (281.013, 1RR), scarce third type date stamp (253.01) in blue (used only between Oct-Dec of 1898), Peninsula town & target date stamp (255.9a1, 1RR), etc., Island of Maui with early Lahaina cds's (242.13, 238.02) on cover, Makawao second type date stamp (238.02, scarcity 2), Kahului "Mani" error cds (238.42, scarcity 2) and the scarce late 1900 type (255.01, 1RR), Kaupo first type handstamp (281.01, 1RR), and the rare Haiku first type handstamp (281.01, 1RRR), Kipahulu second type date stamp on cover (282.011), Sprecklesville with covers including bisect usage, scarce Peahi cds (253.02, 1RRR) Waiakoa (255.01, 1RR) and Nahiku (253.01, scarcity 2), Island of Molokai including rare Kaluaaha handstamp postmark (238.02, 1RRR) and Island of Lanai with Keomuku (255.01, scarcity 3), Island of Hawaii with a nice array of on cover usages and scarce off cover strikes including Kawaihae latest type postmark (259.01, scarcity 2), Waiohinu second type date stamp (238.02, 1RR), Waipio latest postmark (255.01, 1RR), Hoopuloa latest postmark (255.01, 1RRR), Kukuihaele misspelled postmark (282.011, 1RR), Olaa manuscript postmark, and much much more including various color strikes, other early and latest known usages and some attractive on cover strikes including foreign usages; a wonderful specialized collection and an excellent foundation for continuation.

Hawaii, Cancellation Collection, 1864-1900, balance of approximately 80 stamps and a dozen covers written-up on exhibit pages; starting with two #16 Numeral issues, one with partial Lahaina Customs House circular ship cancel, study of later manuscript marks including initials, "Paid" and date marks, nice section of cross cancels including various spoke wedges & circle of V's, crossroads, etc., an array of letter cancels including the various "H" and "HI" marks including a fine strike of the negative "HI" monogram on 10¢, couple "K" and the "KP" in circle, etc., target cancels with some nice on cover usages, bars & grid including section of S.F. loose letter grids, nice Lahaina grid usage to U.S. in the scarcer blue color, other misc. postmark including "Paid" in oval including on cover, stars and other cancels worth checking; condition varies with some nice strikes throughout.

Hawaii, Better Postmarks Balance, of approximately 40 stamps identified on cards in stock album; includes #31a with Honolulu last day use of Hawaiian stamps postmark, better town postmarks including Aiea (255.9a1, scarcity 2), Laie (282.011, 1R), Punaluu (255.9a1, 1R), Hanapepe (253.01, 1R), Kekaha on cut square (282.016, 1RR), Lihue (253.9a1, 1R) on 2¢ block of 4 (75), Olaa manuscript (803, 1R) discernible Paia manuscript (801, 1RRRR), etc., fancy cancels with two different K letters (1R) and large H (1R), other markings including Hamakua Mill Co. straight line on piece, some Kahului R.R. issues including "H.I." handstamps and 50¢ with small type "Cancelled", large type "Cancelled" on various regular issues in black and purple, scarce Oahu R.R. date stamps, Interisland S.S.
