Advertising & Illustrated Cover Correspondence Group, of over 30 covers ca. 1880-1900's addressed to the Buford & Co. in Virginia City Montana; most illustrated with an emphasis on carriage companies and many with original enclosures; many with rough side reductions from opening, couple nice items including LaBelle Wagon Works, Fond du Lac, Wis. allover shaded ad showing wagon and lovely illustrated enclosure, red Electric Wheel Co. illustrated ad showing Wheel and Carriage Steerage with matching letterhead enclosure, etc., worth review.

(Expositions) 1893 Columbian Expo Ephemera & Books, more than 13 various portfolios, brochures and books all relating to the Exposition, including 1892 Historical World's Columbian Exposition & Chicago Guide, 1892 Columbus and Columbia, 1893 World's Fair Album of Chicago etc., also related brochures, pamphlets and guides, most all with illustrations and photos, great group for the specialist, condition varies.

Geometric Cancellations on Cover Study, nearly 380 covers bearing 1861 3¢ rose franking and canceled by various non Skinner-Eno numbered cancellations; includes a nice section of Stars including in circle, segmented, negative and positive strikes, five point and six point "Star of David", etc., section of Targets from simple 3-ring to multi-ring cancels, Circle-of-Wedges or Circle-of-V's with a nice range, Rosettes and other fancy and unusual Geometrics including crosses, fancy crossroads, segmented, etc., also includes a small section of letters, "Paid"s and some numerals; many unusual types & blue color cancels throughout, a nice group for the cancellation specialist.

Patriotic & Campaign Cover Balance, of 11 patriotic covers, 4 campaign covers and two campaign lettersheets; patriotic covers with 7 have original enclosures with illustrated patriotic letterhead designs and most with war content, most various blue and red design including McClellan and "Contraband of War", other including Jeff & Davis Dog caricature and "Away Down South in Dixie" view, campaign covers including Buchanan portrait, allover Grant & Colfax, two beardless Lincoln designs including rail fence, also two Lincoln lettersheets including a dual Lincoln-Hamlin portrait design; condition mixed with many scarce items.

Patriotic Cover Balance, of 29 covers virtually all with 3¢ frankings; design including Gen'l Nathaniel Lyon on Horse (3 similar with slight differences), various Liberty & Flag, five allover designs including Magnus, Monitor and Merrimack view, Flag with additional allegory designs, faulty cover with 3¢ pink (Weiss cert calls Pigeon Blood), McClellan, rare "Unkle Sam & Jeff" caricature, also two additional Presidential campaign design and a 1880's patriotic usage; condition is mixed with many nice items throughout, worth proper evaluation.

Postal Handstamp Group, of three early wooden handle postal devices; includes circular town cancel (town name and state very worn) with a date still inserted by brass fixture, a brass straight line "Registered" handstamp and and pointing hand Return to Writer handstamp with additional directive, also includes metal Scott album page printing plate for the Luxembourg 1935 Intellectual series.
