El Oro" handstamp (D135), 3-line "Franqu, eado En, El Oro" handstamp (D136), and large & small "Mineral Del Oro" in oval handstamps (D137 & D138), each with similar matching "2" rate handstamp; the latter with archival tape staining, otherwise Very Fine.

Mexico, (Durango) Papasquiaro, green straight line postmark with matching light "3" rate handstamp on 1828 folded letter to Durango, F.-V.F., an extremely rare postmark unlisted in Yag & Bash and may well be the earliest postmark from Papasquiaro.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

Yag & Bash lists a straight line postmark for Papasquiaro with usages between 1838 and 1854. This postmark is used ten year earlier and with letters that are completely different to the later postmark.
