Tonga, Tin Can Mail Collection, 1930-47, of over 120 covers and postcards; including outgoing and incoming from various countries including U.S., Jamaica, Fiji, New Zealand & Australia (couple with Australia airmail-Tonga mixed frankings), diverse cachets including censor (WWII Tonga to Australia), card to East Africa with white label reading "Tin Can Mail Service had ended. Part of Tin Can Island, Niuafo'ou had blown up by volcanic eruption.", also includes early real-photo card of Tin Can Mail swimmers, some interesting ephemera, etc.; an ideal group for the tin can mail specialist.
