China, 1898, Chinese Imperial Post, watermarked, 10¢ deep green, tied by square 6-bar handstamp on reverse of commercial cover to Victoria, British Columbia, with "Tientsin, 29 Jun, 99" bilingual origin cds on front, additionally franked with Japan 1883, 2s carmine rose, vertical strip of four and single (73) with strip partially over Tientsin date stamp, tied by bold "Shanghai, I.J.P.O., Aug 8, 99" cds's and boxed Tientsin "I.P.O." tie-prints, reverse with Shanghai receiving, Yokohama & partial S.A. transit and receiving cds's; cover opened slightly rough at top, right and mostly at bottom, Very Fine.
