1868 Grant and Colfax, portrait design on cover bearing two 2¢ black, F grill (93) singles, tied by geometric corks duplexed with partial "Hartford Conn., May 5" cds to South Norwalk Ct., matching campaign stationery datelined "Hartford May 4th 1869" from daughter asking for money and to stay in Norwalk for school; enclosure in excellent condition with some folds, cover worn with some stains and toning affecting 2¢, Fine and scarce 1868 campaign design.
