Great Britain, 1916-18 delayed labels, two covers mounted on Kotanchik exhibit page, first is 1916 Netherlands to London with "Part of a Mail captured by the Germans and delayed" label used on mail from the intercepted Dutch Steamer Koningin Regnetes; and second cover 1918 Ramalah, Palestine field post office O.H.M.S. cover with "R.E. Postal Section, London, N.W.1., Damaged by immersion in sea water through enemy action" label affixed, long thought from the Kinstonian that was torpedoed by the German u-boat U68 in the Mediterranean, new research suggests otherwise, Very Fine exhibit pair.
