(Civil War) Patriotic & Civil War Related Cover Collection, over 40 covers mostly written-up on pages in binder; includes a run of 29 patriotic covers with 8 different state "The Loyal States" allover designs, Monitor & Merrimac stampless usage, Scott & Jeff dogs, Magnus "For The Union - Pennsylvania", etc., campaign covers with two Lincoln designs (one with stamp replaced), other items including flag of truce, Florida usages, prisoner of war, war related postmarks, etc.; condition varies.

(3), New York (6), New Orleans (5), Charleston SC (5), Natchez Miss. (1) and Vicksburg Miss. (1), few noted including 1837 Charleston SC to Portsmouth NH; 1838 New Orleans to Richmond Va.; 1839 New York to Natchez; 1837 New York to Charleston; 1837 New Orleans express mail to Charleston, forwarded by regular mail to New York; 1837 New York to Montgomery Ala.; 1837 Savannah Ga. to Philadelphia; 1838 Columbus Ga. to Boston; very late 1839 May 22nd New York to New Orleans, F.-V.F. and scarce express mail collection.

(Fancy Cancels) Banknote Issues With Numeral Fancy Cancels, over 185 covers or postal cards, cancels are Commercial Numerals (Cole p. 189), Boston killers #1-44 plus unlisted #14, 19 and 20, the latter on an all-over ad cover; p 295), Boston Related Negatives (pp. 296-97), New York City (pp. 298-301), Ellipses (pp. 315-326), frankings are mostly single 3c Bank Note issues, minor duplication and some faults to be expected, strikes vary from Fine to Extremely Fine.

(Fancy Cancels) Cancellations on 19th Century United States Postal Cards, binder with about 180 postal cards, mostly UX5/9, with a variety of different cancellations, some fancy including wedges, geometrics, letters/numerals, stars, etc, better noted Pittsburgh segmented cross, "Wyoming N.Y." two-line postmark, two different Mystic "M" cancels, Waverly negative "E/S", Denver Col. masonic square and compass, Hartford Ct. leaf, nice selection of Waterbury Ct. leaves (three different), circle of Vs and numerous quartered corks, Lebanon and Louisville Ky. patent cancels, Terminus Mt., etc., generally a very clean group with good strikes.
