Blood & Co., 1854 (1¢) bronze on lilac, two, ample margins to barely in, tied by acid cancels, "Blood's Despatch, Special Messenger" serrated-circle handstamp and "Blood's Despatch, Feb 14, 10-1/2 A.M., 1856" cds on large embossed Valentine cover to local street address, manuscript "3¢" at upper left indicate cash portion of 5¢ fee for guaranteed same-day delivery of Valentine, some toned spots just touching the datestamp, otherwise Very Fine, otherwise Very Fine and scarce special delivery use, ex-Stimmell; with 2015 P.F. certificate.
