Nicaragua, Collection, 1862-2000, mint and used comprehensive collection mounted on Minkus pages in plastic sleeves in seven albums with most areas represented, volume one featuring great run of classics including. blocks and multiples of various denominations of 1890 Officials without surcharges, also imperf multiples, many other early issues in blocks and sheets with flaws, American Banknote Fiscal specimens and more, enhanced with covers and postal stationery throughout, including pre-stamp Tobacco Broker cover Masaya-Lyon, well collected by a Latin America specialist, careful inspection recommended.

North Borneo, Balance, of mostly postal history; includes nine 1940-41 covers with rare censor handstamp markings, also a substantial section of 1945 "BMA" issues many in conjunction with the parallel Sarawak issues, including letter card usages, off cover study of cancels, multiples, complete used set, etc., some other later issue items on cover.

Pacific Ocean and Antartica, Polar Philately Accumulation, wide mix of material including many polar & expedition themed stamp issues including some FDC's, some better postal history items highlighted by a scarce "1925 MacMillan Aerial, Arctic Expedition, Polar Mail" blue oval handstamp on U.S. 2¢ entire (opened into indicia), 1931 Wilkins-Ellsworth Trans-Arctic Submarine Expedition cover with mixed G.B.-U.S. franking, whole host of Byrd Expedition II cacheted covers, U.S. Navy Deep Freeze covers, Admundsen Station, McMurdo Station cover with "Soiled in Post Office by having furnace trouble" auxiliary marking.

Papua New Guinea, Military Postmark Collection, 1943-45, well formed collection on Scott album pages, all written up on pages many with illustrations even hand-drawn including postmarks, collection with a focus on postal history starting with dozens of Australian franked covers (mostly G. Adams Tatersall covers) with the array of field postmarks, also a later section of Australian postage used in Papua New Guinea including some high value multiples; a very comprehensive collection ideal for the Papua New Guinea enthusiast.

Lot 2840 /o   

Peru, Collection, 1857-1943, parallel mint and used collection in stockbook assembled over 30 years and containing about some 1,230 stamps with a Scott catalog value of about $9,400, arranged as per S.G. catalog part 20 and allowing for all perforation and watermark varieties including Officials, Airmails, Dues, Chilean occupations, etc., commences with a splendid showing of early imperf issues (1857-1870's) and includes some 35 copies of the ever popular "Trencitos" (some with flaws) and a Scott #176 never hinged, thereafter the collection runs through to 1943 with many complete mint and/or used sets; foxed stamps are turned over and are not counted in the estimate, should be viewed to really appreciate the thoroughness of the assembly, collection comes complete with S.G. catalog cuts and Scott estimate/valuations.
