A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1860 5¢ CONNELL UNISSUED.
A printing of 500,000 stamps bearing the head of Charles Connell, the Postmaster General of New Brunswick from 1858 was made with the set of definitives for issue on May 1st 1860. From evidence known so far, these stamps were never issued for postage, no used examples have been found. The bulk of the printing was destroyed.
